The record from Afghanistan (Cassis & Gross, 2002; Voigt, 2006b) is based on misinterpreted occurrence of gutta gutta and the record from China (Voigt, 2006b) is erroneous (see Stehlík, 2007a).
Extalimital subspecies: Physopelta gutta famelica Stål, 1863, New Guinea with adjacent islands and Australia.
