The generic name Muzafferiana was treated as masculine throughout the paper of Ahmad & Perveen (1983b) but as feminine by Perveen & Ahmad (1992). Perveen & Ahmad (1992: 247) transferred Homoeocerus striicornis Scott, 1874 to Muzafferiana Ahmad & Perveen, 1983. Since H. striicornis is the type species of Uhleriella Matsumura, 1913, their action was tantamount to sinking Muzafferiana as a junior synonym of Uhleriella, which itself is treated here as a synonym of the subgenus Anacanthocoris.
