Ahmad (1969: 73) erroneously described Hygia opaca opaca as a new subspecies and designated for it HT and PTS not among the STS of Pachycephalus opacus. The species he actually dealt with was Hygia lativentris (see Kerzhner & Brailovsky, 2003: 99).
