Records for Sinai probably refer to M. linnavuorii Dolling, 1979. Oshanin (1891: 32) reported the undescribed Tschingisia ceraleptoides occurring in numbers at another locality in Tadzhikistan; Kiritshenko (1952b: 168) referred this material, which was not preserved, to the present species
