The synonymy of amplicollis with anisotomus was established by Jakovlev (1903a), not by Oshanin (1908), as cited by Kormilev & Froeschner (1987: 36). The record of anisotomus from Sicily by Ragusa (1907) refers to brenskei, and the reference for Spain by Montes Nieto (1982: fig. 1) is wrong.
