The record from China (Hsiao & Ren, 1981b) concerned Empicoris culicimimus P.V. Putshkov, and the one from Israel (Bodenheimer, 1937) was readdressed to E. mediterraneus (see Linnavuori, 1961a, 1973a). According to P.V. Puthskov & Moulet (2010) introduced outside the Palaearctic Region.
