The position of the genus and its single species remained unclear for a long time. McAtee & Malloch (1932: 67) considered it to be close to Bilia, but they did not see the type material and made no definite conclusion. Carayon & Miyamoto (1960) expressed the same opinion. Examination of a male syntype (MZHF) by the author indeed showed it to be very close to Bilia and hence it is transferred from Miridae (Isometopinae) to Anthocoridae (Oriini).
