The holotype of Salda opacula agrees with "opacula species A" of Cobben (1957). The varieties albipennis Reuter and putoni J.Sahlberg conform to "opacula species B" of Cobben (l.c.). The original description of quadrilineata Jakovlev, a species not recorded since, closely matches opacula s.str., and a synonymy is proposed.
