This species was recorded from NA as Prostemma eva Kirkaldy (= concinnum Walker) and P. septemguttatum Stein. Prostemma septemguttatum Stein, 1857 (S Africa), P. concinnum Walker, 1873 (tropical Africa), P. antipodes Kerzhner, 1990 (N Africa), P. flavomaculatum Lethierry, 1883 (Burma, India, Nepal) and P. siamense Noualhier, 1896 (Cambodia) are closely related and probably merely subspecies of one polytypical species.
