Burmeister (1835: 310) acting as first reviser selected Phyllomorphus as the correct original spelling, and Westwood (1840a: 484) validly designated Cimex paradoxus Sparrmann, 1777 as the type species, but see Opinion 2198/2008 (existing usage conserved, spelling).
