The name Plesiocoris has priority over Lygocoris and placement of Lygocoris on the Official List in itself does not conserve this name. As the synonymy is subjective and still not universally accepted, and as the name Lygocoris is used for many dozens of species, while Plesiocoris only for two, it is desirable to ask ICZN to rule that Lygocoris has priority over Plesiocoris whenever they are regarded synonyms.
