Familia Anthocoridae Fieber, 1836

According to cladistic analysis by American authors - see Schuh & Štys, 1991 and Schuh & Slater, 1995 - Anthocoridae ought to be splitted in three families: Lasiochilidae (= Lasiochilinae sensu Carayon), Lyctocoridae (= Lyctocorini sensu Carayon) and Anthocoridae (remaining groups in Carayon's classification). This classification, however, is controversial and for the sake of nomenclatural stability we use Carayon's classification, on which most recent works about the Palaearctic fauna are based.
