Attus Hahn, 1832: 116 (junior homonym of Attus Walckenaer, 1805, Arachnida) (as genus; syn. Baerensprung, 1860: 17, with Agalliastes; as subgenus by Wagner, 1952a: 200). Type species by monotypy: Lygaeus pulicarius Fallén, 1807.
