Referring to Macrosaldula jakowleffi sensu Cobben, 1985: 260 (a concept not substantiated by type studies). The examination of the single existing syntype gave no decisive answer to the identity of this taxon owing to the unsuitable condition of the specimen (female, strongly teneral, partly damaged by dermestids). However, scrutinization of observable diagnostic characters suggests that this syntype might equally well or even more likely be identical to Macrosaldula nivalis (Lindberg) sensu Cobben, 1985: 263.
The record from Inner Mongolia is erroneous and most likely refers to M. mongolica (Vinokurov et al., 2018).
