The validity of this species remains in discussion (see Péricart, 1999a: 271). Owing to the confusions with Ischnodemus sabuleti, we can give only the distribution area of the complex quadratus-sabuleti, the southern limit concerning essentially I. quadratus. See under I. sabuleti.
