The Linnaean collection in LSUK comprises four partly damaged specimens under the name Cimex corticalis. Their investigation has shown, that two males are A. betulinus, one male is A. lugubris and one female, with missing antennal segments III and IV, labelled 13 corticalis is A. corticalis as subsequently understood.
