J. Sahlberg's (1870: 282) paper includes a note on collecting by him of Platysolen obscurus in 1870 at Kantalaks [= Kandalaksha] in Lapponia rossica [= Murmansk Prov.], where he was in June 1870 (he returned from the trip September 10). It follows that his paper, contrary to Reuter's (1873) statement, could not be published in January 1870. Records from Finland refer to Russia (NT). Records from Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia, Mongolia and former USSR (except NT of Russia) are referred here to Conostethus hungaricus.
