Wagner (1968p: 222) interpreted the type locality as Fileremo nr Rodi in N Italy. However, considering the absence of other records from Italy, the later record from Rhodes Is., and the distribution of the second species of the genus in Cyprus, it may be supposed that the actual type locality is Rhodes Is. Only Rhodes is indicated in distribution given by Wagner (1974e: 138).
