Contrary to Kirkaldy (1909c), Teratocoris longicornis Uhler is not preoccupied; the former use by R.F. Sahlberg (1848) of the name Miris longicornis Fallén for Teratocoris saundersi based on misidentification does not create an available name entering into homonymy. However, as the name Teratocoris caricis is well established in the literature, we prefer not to change it.
