Linnavuori (1960) referred to the type specimen, stating that the species is endemic. On the other hand, Wróblewski's files (unpubl.) include a note that M. perparva might be a senior synonym of M. anatolica Lindberg, 1922. Confirming this synonymy would require comparison of the types, but unfortunately the Indian Museum refuses to loan its types in fear of loosing them in the local mail.
