Contrary to McAtee & Malloch (1924: 76; 1932: 67), Turnebus Distant, 1904, Skapana Distant, 1910, and Paloniella Poppius, 1915 are not synonymous with Isometopus (see Akingbohungbe, 1996). The subgenus Jehania Distant, 1911 is recorded from tropical Asia and Africa, but some Far Eastern species also belong to it (Akingbohungbe, 1996: 40). An unidentified species is reported from Iran (Sarafrazi, 1996).
